It's a Monday. You have an assignment that's due next week. You think to yourself, Seven days is pretty long. I have plenty of time to finish this assignment in time and you end up doing other stuff like going out with friends to watch a movie or play games at home. A few days pass and a friend of yours asks about the assignment. You reply that you haven't started, but say that you're gonna start in a little while. The weekend arrives and you tell yourself that you're gonna finish it so that you don't have to worry about it anymore. You sit down at your desk and get distracted by the computer. It's now Sunday night. You start panicking and rush to finish the assignment. You just realized that the assignment is really long. It takes you hours to finish it, well past your bedtime. By the time you finish, you're dead tired and fall asleep as soon as your head hits your pillow.
Does that story seem familiar? Well that's a classic procrastinating story. Alright, it's MY story. Like right now. Minus the falling asleep part though. I really am an insomniac.
Does that explain why I haven't been able to post anything lately? I hope it does. Whenever I thought of posting this weekend, I reminded myself that I have stuff to do. So I'd try to finish it all up, but end up doing something stupid like watching a bunch of YouTube videos or playing Solitaire. So in other words, I wasted all my time, so I ended up cramming.
But honestly, who DOESN'T procrastinate? Or at least who hasn't tried it? I'm pretty sure almost everyone has done that already. I mean, a student's life isn't complete unless they've procrastinated at least once. And as a college student, cramming and procrastinating are my best friends. I do it almost every time there's an assignment. Most of the time, I do them just an hour before it's due. I dunno why though. I know that it's not healthy to procrastinating since I'll end up stressing over stuff, but I still do it. I guess I've gotten used to it. Time to add cramming to my list of things I need to fix.
A word of advice from someone who knows: DON'T PROCRASTINATE. Yep, that means you, my dear reader. So ask yourself. Do you have anything you have to do right now? If you answered yes, then go do it! Don't copy me. Trust me on that.
So wondering where the twinkle twinkle title came from? Well it's because I procrastinated my ENGLRES note card making. We were given two weeks to research on our topics and make a bunch of note cards. Guess what my topic is. :> Yeah, my topic is about stars. So I just spent my last few hours reading and writing about supernovas, black holes, neutron stars, and galaxies. And now I think I'm seeing stars. I crammed a lot and stopped after 22 note cards. I hope that's enough for now.
